To: Cloverdale Managers, Scottsboro, AL

I would like to tell you how very good that I think you personnel at Cloverdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is.  My sister is in your home, and every time that I visit I am amazed at the care that your people pay to the residents.  I usually stay for a few hours since I have to drive 50 miles one way to get there from South Huntsville, AL.

The care of your people and their visitors starts at the front door when your receptionist lets me inside.  She is very nice and caring.  She is very willing to share any information that I need.

The Social Services ladies continue the caring service when I need to stop and discuss anything with them.  They never make me feel rushed or that I am a bother to them.  I think that they go several steps beyond what I would expect, but love to receive.

The cleaning ladies are so very nice to me, but most importantly to your residents.  They work so hard and keep everything so nice and clean.  I realize that this is an old building, but they keep it shinny and clean.  They are very respectful to your residents.

Your nursing staff, this probably includes people who probably are not nurses, but maybe aides to the nurses are just wonderful to your patients.  It just does my heart good to see that there are nursing homes left whose employees all show such wonderful care, love, and respect to their patients.  They are nice to me also. 

The people that I see the most are back in the dementia unit since that is where my sister is.  It makes my heart so proud that there are places in America who still treat our elderly with such respect and kindness.  I tell all of my friends who ask me about my sister the kind of place that she is living in.  It just breaks all of my sister’s family’s hearts to see her in the condition that she has gotten in this past year.  But with this heartbreak, it is o good not to have to worry about her treatment.

As I am going back to the lock down dementia unit, I see many older patients, who maybe are not yet in as bad as shape as the ones in the dementia unit, but who are being treated very good also.  And I see people working in these units who are very nice, helpful, and respectable to me as I am going back to the dementia lock down unit also.
