Cloverdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center would like to thank Unclaimed Baggage for their generous donation of four iPad’s and cases to use on our Memory Care Unit. We are excited about the future of our unit, and the technological advancements that we plan to implement. Our social worker, Amanda Putnam and new employee Chelsea Holder have been researching the many resources that are available that can help to improve cognition in elderly people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. There are a multitude of apps that can be downloaded and played by patients at different stages of the disease that can stimulate memories, thought process, and other cognitive abilities. Our goal at Cloverdale is to continue to look for ways to improve the quality of life for our residents, and this is just the first of many things to come.
